Fati

Fatima, “Fati”, is a lovely young Chechen girl who lives at the Telavi home. She was diagnosed in 2004 with the dreadful parasite Echinococcus . She was taken to Tbilisi for free surgery to remove the infected parts of her liver. Despite the limitations of Georgian medical care, she came through the surgery just fine.

Problem was, while the infected cysts had been removed, the hospital could not provide the medicine necessary to flush the parasite out of her system. It was going to appear again if not treated. CCRFund was able to help by supplying that medicine and today Fati is healthy and happy.

Your donations help us do things like that. Fati is going to live and grow up because of our donors. Here is a picture of Fati with a doll sent by one of our donors. Carol and Georgia, that smile is for you. By the way, that doll is the first thing of any kind that Fati has ever owned in her life. Imagine that.
