A
Little More
About Us & Our Work . .
.
CCRFund
had its beginnings when we delivered medical supplies donated
by the concerned women of Anchorage, Alaska, to the Dzegvi
Orphanage complex near Tbilisi, Georgia. Thank you, Margot.
Our lives will never be the same.
After that, friends and family began to donate money that
we used to buy medicine, food, soaps and personal
hygiene items, blankets, clothes and even some
balls and toys. Every child and staff member received
a new heavy wool blanket and flannel pajamas before
winter set in.
Dzegvi
Orphanage has no budgeted support. Zero. It, and the lives
of these children, depend entirely on donations. CCRFund
is not the only helping hand, of course. Dzegvi receives
help from the foreign community in Georgia, from caring Georgians
in and away from Georgia, and even from foreigners who have
left Georgia but still keep Dzegvi in their hearts.
Telavi
Children’s Home does receive budget support that amounts
to a little over $1 per day per child. That amount covers
staff, food, utilities . . . everything. It’s far
short of enough.
