CCRFund
Welcomes Bigelow Tea as a Corporate Sponsor
Dear
Friends of CCRFund,
Some
of you may already be familiar with my favorite tea. It’s
Constant Comment by Bigelow Tea. I usually have a couple
of bags of it in my purse so that I can have my favorite
tea when we are out for a meal. It was my favorite tea
before we ever knew David and Eunice Bigelow. I took boxes
of tea as gifts to our staff and friends in Georgia and
they all loved it too. It makes a wonderful gift when weight
is an issue which it always is when you are packing for
overseas travel. We shared our Constant Comment starting
in 2002 when Chuck and I were both working in Georgia for
Barents Group.
In
2005 the Bigelows discovered our charity and began donating
to CCRFund. Since then they have been faithful and generous
donors. This year they have agreed to become corporate
sponsors for which we are very grateful. You can check
out their web site and find your favorite tea among their
wide selection.

We
have friends and supporters in places we have never been
able to visit but feel that we would be at home thanks
to the kindness of former strangers. I’m thinking
not only of David and Eunice Bigelow in Connecticut, but
also Robert Sabuda in New York City and Gloria Collins
in Massachusetts. We were bemused and delighted when Robert
decided to visit Georgia and see the children of Dzegvi
and Telavi for himself. Few donors are able to go see for
themselves what sort of activities they are supporting
but Robert did. His engaging personality and delightful
pop up books made him an instant hit. He has been a strong
supporter and ally every since.
You
can visit his web site at: www.robertsabuda.com
You
will find a link to CCRFund on Robert’s site.
We will always be grateful to Gloria Collins for her amazing
accomplishment in 2005. She secured over $78,000 in furniture
and other essential items for the classrooms and dorms and
got them shipped and delivered to Telavi. We still see evidence
of her work every time we visit. Unfortunately, the shipping
method she used is no longer available to us but she managed
to accomplish a great deal in a brief window of opportunity.
As
CCRFund is now in its seventh year as an exempt organization,
it seems a good time to pause and thank our faithful donors
and supporters. None of it could have happened without you!!
Our Georgian children need us now as much as they ever have.
The Russian threat looms on Georgia’s border. We will
continue to visit and assist “our” children and
friends in Georgia. We encourage you to continue your support
and assistance. Thank you!
Thanks to all,
Edythe
